Wedding Crèche

A crèche provides supervised childcare for limited periods of time. They can be established on a temporary basis to care for children while their parents, guardians or carers are involved in time-limited activities such as weddings.

Do temporary wedding creches have to be registered? Not necessarily - Temporary creches that run more than 5 times per year at the same venue must be registered with OFSTED. Temporary creches that run less than 5 times per year do not have to be registered. Reputable temporary or mobile creches should work to strict legal guidelines in relation to all aspects of mobile or permanent crèches, particularly regarding the ratio of carers to children so parents are assured of the best possible care for their children.

Check that the wedding creche you choose has adequate insurance and is licensed.
