Wedding Gift List

So you've named the wedding day!

Now comes the fun bit - Time to arrange your wedding gift list.
For the avid shoppers amongst you out there, can you think of anything more appealing than putting together your ultimate shopping list and then have somebody else pay for it?

Whilst wedding gift lists have not been around nearly as long as the weddings themselves, today about 90% of UK weddings make use of a wedding gift list.

Until recently it was considered bad-manners at worst or just tactless to mention or enclose a wedding gift list with the wedding invitation - as this may be interpreted that buying a gift was somehow conditional to accepting the invitation. This would have been thought a down right insult when it came to inviting guests just to the wedding reception.

The traditional assumption that, if guests wish to buy a gift, they will contact the couple and ask for a specific item they can buy for them has gone out of the window! It is extremely well known and an established nuptial tradition that those attending a wedding will want to buy a gift! A wedding gift list (the bigger the better) makes it all so much easier. As these days anything goes - your guests will find it easier if you provide a wedding gift list with your invitation whether it be to the ceremony or the wedding reception.
