You should be aware that everyone has different ideas as to their ideal wedding gift, and as many couples own their own home before marrying, they no longer need to be given the obligatory iron or toaster. Whilst your wedding list is intended as a way of letting your family and friends know what you would like or need. We think that the perfect wedding gift is also one that your guest will enjoy choosing - if you have created a wedding list with many varied presents in as wide arrange of prices possible then this helps them immensely.

As the wedding gift giver:

It is understood that, whilst many wedding guests will be extremely generous - But if you buy what you can afford it will not be begrudged - Going by the wedding gift list is the safest way forward for you. There are those of you who have smaller budgets, or if you are travelling long distances to be with the bride and groom on their special day, may still wish to buy a fitting and wanted wedding gift. We suggest that you offer to buy gift vouchers from a particular favourite store of theirs as a contribution towards larger or set related items. This could extend their range to include an item on a "wish list" of larger items not easily transportable!
